Sophia recently connected with child care professionals across Alabama at Auburn University's 2022 Focus on Family Child Care Conference "Oceans of Opportunity for Family Child Care" on June 17-18 at the Auburn Marriott Opelika Resort and Spa at Grand National. Sophia opened the Saturday session with a keynote address on the important role of child care professionals and the impact they have on shaping a child's belief in themselves. She also shared stories from her memoir and encouraged attendees to remember self-care as they care for our children.
